The Spaniard from Ducati triumphs ahead of Acosta and Bastianini. Success confirmed after tire pressure checks. Bagnaia takes his first pole position of the season. The race starts on Sunday at 2:00 PM.
Marc Márquez continues to set the pace in MotoGP and takes victory in the Sprint Race of the Czech Republic GP, round 12 of the 2025 World Championship. The Ducati rider finished ahead of Pedro Acosta (KTM) and Enea Bastianini (KTM), adding another win to his extraordinary season.
His victory was initially questioned by an official investigation due to irregular tire pressure and temperature, but after the checks, Race Direction confirmed his race was fully legal.
📉 Bagnaia struggles after pole position
Starting from his first pole position of the year (his 25th in the premier class), Francesco Bagnaia finished only seventh. The Italian champion faced similar problems to Marquez, forced to slow his pace to increase the minimum tire pressure, as required by the regulations.
“If we’re already struggling to get things right, complicating things like this makes everything more difficult,” said a visibly annoyed Bagnaia after the Sprint, also referring to his poor tire choice in qualifying.
🎙️ Acosta on the podium: “Result for Borja Gomez”
Young Pedro Acosta was emotional, taking a valuable second place:
“We worked hard, but this podium is fantastic. I dedicate it to Borja Gomez and the team that has always supported me.”
