The 2025-2026 Openjobmetis Varese season will officially begin on Monday, August 18th.
This will be the day Coach Kastritis’s players will gather at the Via Pirandello Campus for their first training session of the year. On Friday the 22nd, starting at 11:30 a.m., the doors of the Campus will be open to all to observe the red and whites’ training session. On Saturday, August 23rd, Captain Librizzi and his teammates are pleased to invite all fans and enthusiasts to the Sacro Monte walk, starting from the Prima Cappella at 4:00 p.m. This will be the first truly great opportunity to meet our new favorites up close, who will be available for photos and autographs. On Friday, August 29th, at 6:00 p.m., it will be the turn of the Varese summer classic: the scrimmage against SAM Massagno, which will be held on the Campus behind closed doors. After just four days (Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 PM), the Itelyum Arena will host another joint training session between Openjobmetis and Gruppo Mascio Bergamo; this time, the doors will be open to fans, with details to be announced closer to the match. On Saturday, September 6th, Varese will play a scrimmage (behind closed doors) at Derthona Basket’s new home, a match that precedes the red and whites’ departure for Gressoney (September 8-11), which will host their summer retreat for the sixth consecutive year. On Saturday, September 13th and Sunday, September 14th, Openjobmetis will compete in the Lombardia Trophy alongside Cantù, Bergamo, and Cremona, while on Friday, September 19th and Saturday, September 20th, they will fly to Athens for an international tournament pitting them against AEK Athens, Panionios, and Karditsas. During the final week of preparation, the red and whites will play two more friendlies: Wednesday the 24th against Derthona Basket in Varallo Sesia (details still to be determined) and Sunday the 28th in Varese against Reggio Emilia (details still to be determined).
During the weeks of training in the city, some open-door training sessions will be organized, which will be announced in advance on our channels.
