Toprak Razgatlioglu ha preso il largo a Donington Park dominando entrambe le gare del weekend e ribaltando la classifica mondiale Superbike con una prestazione maiuscola. Danilo Petrucci è salito sul podio dopo una bella lotta con Locatelli, Rea, Redding e Aegerter, mentre Andrea Iannone ha chiuso decimo dopo essere stato costretto a rallentare per evitare la carambola iniziale che ha messo fuori gioco Montella, Bautista e i due Lowes. Tra i ritirati anche Tito Rabat, Bridewell e i piloti Honda Lecuona e Lopes per guasti tecnici. Gara 2 ha confermato lo stesso copione, con Razgatlioglu imprendibile fin dal via e Bulega che, pur partendo a pari gomma, non ha mai avuto il passo per rispondere all’attacco del rivale. Petrucci non è riuscito a replicare il podio ed è arrivato quinto dietro a Locatelli e Bautista, autore di un bel finale in rimonta che lo ha riportato nei riflettori del mercato 2026. Razgatlioglu, con queste due vittorie, è salito a 69 successi in carriera e 12 a Donington, superando ogni altro specialista su questo tracciato, e ha inanellato la sesta vittoria consecutiva dopo Misano e questo round inglese, segnale inequivocabile di un momento di forma strepitoso che coincide con l’annuncio del suo passaggio in MotoGP con Yamaha Pramac nel 2026. Se la BMW vola, è merito anche del suo stile di guida che sa esaltare il potenziale tecnico della moto, anche se la FIM ha aperto un controllo sul telaio che ha generato polemiche nel paddock. Bulega, da parte sua, ha limitato i danni ed è tornato a casa con appena quattro punti di ritardo dopo averne accumulati nove di vantaggio prima del weekend. Nessun altro sembra in grado di inserirsi realmente nella lotta iridata: Locatelli si conferma il migliore in casa Yamaha ma resta distante, Rea e Redding vivono un’annata difficile, e Iannone alterna lampi di classe a gare più anonime. Ora la Superbike si prepara a una nuova sfida ricca di incognite: il Balaton Park in Ungheria, un circuito inedito per il campionato e privo di riferimenti reali per i team, dove ogni errore potrà pesare doppio e l’equilibrio tra Toprak e Nicolò sarà nuovamente messo alla prova.

Toprak Razgatlioglu stormed to the top of the World Superbike standings at Donington Park, dominating both races of the weekend and upending the World Superbike standings with a commanding performance.
